Culture, tradition, religion ..... What are these ???

Durga Puja kotha sunei moner bhetoray ekta khushir sur beje uthe (The very thought of durga Puja fills my heart with happiness).

Durga Puja is one of my favourite "Bahana" to go to Jamshedpur on a long leave. I am a bengali and our main festival is Durga Puja but I am more of a spiritual person and i respect and believe in all religion.

I have been thinking that if festivals and cultural festivities didn’t happen then how we would have got a common platform to meet and talk to each other. All of us in this world are so different and yet so much similar in nature, be it America or India. They celebrate Christmas and we have a few more festivals added to it that’s all. Not much of a difference. We all keep looking for something or some common celebrations to keep us going in life.

These traditions are so close to our heart ... be it Eid , Christmas or Dusshera the amount of fun you have is always more when you are in a group and you always tend to enjoy more with people you are close and love to be with. Even if you are with strangers you feel better, than being alone and cribbing. Birds of weather flock together. Similarly if we belong to the same culture we identify with those people more.

So in a way it’s your culture i.e. the way you live life, the surrounding and the circumstances which holds people together and not religion, caste or creed. So its more important to have a good upbringing to be rich in thoughts and culture.
